Received a call from our sweet and lovely Ma2e who asked us whether we would love to go singing, great idea since I'll be wandering about in town with J too. So along with the cute and adorable Jer, we decided to meet up for KTV at Shenton. Nice place, big hmmm but it's next to a nite 'entertainment' outlet and what's more, we're sharing the toilet. Yeah no big deal actually, just felt surprised when I saw lots of gals or should I say aunties wearing cheongsam. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, but after checking with Jer, 100% confirm...ermmm but don't be mistaken, she's only a regular customer of Partyworld ;p.

It was really nice of
Ma2e & Jer (2 sweet angels) to go singing with me on the eve of my birthday. Majam like celebrating my birthday in advance for me, but no presents received leh...haiz hehe.

When the clock struck midnight, wow the first birthday greeting for me came in. Hmmm I'm not forgotten leh haha. Thereafter received a few wishes from some very sweet friends of mine. Thank you all.

On the day of my birthday, I caught King Kong...ermm I mean I watched the movie King Kong. Wow turned out to be much better than I expected. It was really worth the money, not that it was a 3 hrs long movie but the plot that doesn't make you sleepy in the middle of a 3 hrs long movie. Nice captivating show which is touching and along with it, a sense of humour. Thumbs up for this movie, by the way it's my personal opinion, heed it or ignore it. :)

After the movie, myself & J went for a buffet at Pariss. Wah one week eat 2 times buffet, trying to see if I can gain some pounds. After going for 2 rounds of food, I'm starting to get a bit sick of the food, probably due to the fact that I've went for too many buffets in a week. My stomach seems to be telling me, 'if you carry on stuffing food in, I'll make sure I push it all out when you finish your meal'. My gosh, such a threat and do you think I still dare to carry on. Try to take things slowly and bit by bit. We went for a third round, this time getting a lesser portion compared to the 1st two times. Slowly after close to 3 hrs of stuffing, we decided that we had our fill and it's time to leave.

Programme awaiting us at CCK, yes my band of brothers. So nice and thoughtful of them to organise a birthday celebration for myself & Steven. Really appreciate the effort put in by them on this last minute outing. I was surprised the turnout was rather good. As usual, our dear Dennis bought a birthday cake which was always the birthday boys' nightmare. Cause the cake usually wouldn't end up in your mouth, it would usually be smeared all over your face. Crap and I was wearing a long sleeve shirt...omg it's a goner.

Just as expected, right after singing of birthday songs and birthday wishes (such as world peace and blah blah blah...). It all started and who else but the menace haha. I suffered a loss of one of my contact lenses and became a person with double vision haha. Steven suffered a cut on his tiny little toe, and William lost his slippers while trying to escape the ordeal. Sounds so childish haha. But sometimes it's really all these things that makes you feel like you're having a birthday. Bros, I'll have to really say a big thank you for organising this. From my friendster photo, I still remember a few years back, we did this once before too. I also saw many changes in the photo. Even I have finally changed, everyone has grown and looks have changed. But that night, what I saw were the same group of buddies I knew decades ago. If one day, you guys were to bump into this blog, it would be a place to reminisce of the good old days.

Thank you all who have made my life a meaningful one. ;)

Yep...Christmas has past as by, I only managed to get one of my wish fulfilled. It was J a female Santa who bought it for me...my new wallet. Hmmm although the rest not fulfilled but well one can't be too greedy right. Guess just make do with what I have. ;p So how did you guys spent your Christmas? I spent my Christmas eve at home with my family watching Kungfu Mahjong 2, hmmm not a bad feeling especially during the part whereby gifts were actually supposed to be opened. I had them placed under our miniature Christmas tree and the presents are still there cause after opening them, my dad said the presents would actually beautify the tree so placed it back under the tree again duhz...

Christmas day...supposingly was set on going for KTV with J, her sis and her sis's bf...last minute kanna put one big boeing 747. Informed by them that we'll only meet later for dinner at Kuishin Bo...aiyah then should have told us earlier mah..make me wake up so early haiz. Anyway, finally met up for dinner at Suntec, wah the food there really made me drool leh...had so many of the snow crab...so delicious. But comparatively to Pariss, the variety of food seems to be a bit lesser. Well it's a Japanese restaurant after all, so we really had our fill of salmon sashimi and crab...eat until I dreamt of salmon and crabs coming after me.

After dinner, received calls from my band of brothers who wanted to go to MoS. So I decided why not and brought them all with me. When we arrived there, the sight of the long queue completely turned me off leh...wah lau eh queue until so long. Then all having second thought, decided to switch to KTV again haha since I had my $20 birthday voucher which I can use. So went to Red Tea House which was the nearest available.

Then calls from my brothers started coming in...haha expected..kanna screw liao cause put them 747. But I promised them I will proceed after KTV which would be ending at 2am. As promised I went over but in the end I didn't enter. Ben was only able to bring 2 of us in and he insisted to bring me and J in. Well but I still had 3 others with me who were even more interested than myself to enter the place, and it wouldn't be nice if I asked them to go fly kite right. So I had to politely refused Benny again, then he said he opened one bottle already and waiting for me to have an early birthday celebration. Wah scary ah...but steady lah bro, keep wanting to pay for myself and J. But what the heck for, MoS closes at 4 and I don't think it's worth paying 25 bucks just to go in for one hour. They should have told me earlier they had the free entry msg, then we wouldn't have gone for KTV. Well next time then brothers, as promised I'll try to arrange one on S and my birthday.

Today, spent the evening at Thow Kwang (Dragon Kilns), where my cousin had a birthday celebration held at home. Wow the first time this mountain tortoise saw real fireflies, everyone didn't believe what i said haha. Well was a very nice sight, it looked just like a big Chistmas tree filled with christmas lightings...too bad I couldn't take any pictures of it. Should go there more often to take a look and maybe keep some in a bottle in case of blackouts.

Dear Santa,

I understand that this might have come a bit late, but it's your job what...you're Santa Claus. So regardless of how late my Christmas wishlist might come, you gotta fulfill it ok. Otherwise, you can't achieve your goals and objectives set for the year. I might sound like I'm being difficult but I'm not. Just get me 50% on my wishlist and you would have fulfill your duty this year. Now open your eyes and see carefully.

Christmas Wishlist

1. Wallet (For the items 2 & 3)
2. Huge Salary Increase
3. Toto Group 1 winner
4. Good Health for all
5. World Peace (No more disaster pls...too much of it. Enough is enough!)
6. Cabriolet
7. Bike License
8. Safe (To keep the winnings just in case I can't fit it into item 1)

There're only 8 items on my wishlist so just fulfill any 4 and that makes 50% of the wishlist. But terms and condition applys for item 1 & 8 as it should be accompanied by items 2 & 3. It's a package. Thank you very much Santa for being accomodating. I'll be waiting for my gifts.

In return, I'll be presenting you with a Hokkien Christmas (Click on it lah, you expect it'll pop up automatically ah). Keke ;p

Finally, I managed to find some time to do some Christmas shoppings for the young girls. Got some cute miniature organ for them to discover the musical talent in them..haha. Then saw some nice cups with Piglet and Winnie the Pooh on it..so decided to get some too. Walked around again and saw some nice cute displays, got them too...In the end when I reached home, I realised I bought too much...argggghhhh when did I have so many nephews and nieces. I always have a tendency to overbuy everything...makan also like that, now gifts also like that haiz. It's ok, just let them have more gifts this year lah.

Earlier in office, we had this Christmas gift exchange. I picked KW as my gift exchange partner, so I got him a bottle of red wine cause he loves them. I got a box of chocolates and a very cute bottle opener which makes a weird sound whenever you open the bottle with it. Buggy gave all of us Ferrero Rocher, so I ended with with lots of chocolate. Think will gain some weight over the festive seasons stuffing myself with the chocolates.

'K' asked me out today but I really couldn't make it cause a courier was way prearranged to come over to my place for me to sign some documents and I didn't have their contact numbers. So in the end, couldn't cancel the courier so I had to reject her yet again...haiz. But I promised her a makeup dinner. Hope she won't be upset...

Quote of the day.
The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers.

Second round of Christmas shopping today at Orchard...most of the gifts today are bought for the kids. I went shopping alone leh...quite shiok also shopping alone. 'J' was working late today and late meaning way past midnight...so I decided to go shopping alone. Didn't felt like asking anyone along so I ended up alone prowling the streets of Orchard for the perfect gift. Finally after a long arduous search, I found some gifts for the boys but can't decide on what to get for the girls, so in the end still ended up with nothing for the girls. Maybe I'll try another round tomorrow to see whether I can find anything nice for the little girls.

Anyway I got to say I'm very impressed with the wrapping skills of the staff at Taka. They didn't have to cut the wrapping paper at all, the whole piece of wrapper was fully utilised in wrapping the items. I also don't know how they wrap but majam like professional, got attend course one. Maybe I should unwrap the whole thing and see how they did it....on second thoughts I better not lah...lazy to wrap back, scare later don't know how to wrap back the same way then die...

Carried on looking around in Taka till they closed at 10.30pm, and can you imagine the crowd that was still on the street at that time...look at the photos and you'll know. Walking down the street alone was kinda funny when you see everyone else having someone with them haha...to prevent boredom from setting in, I took out my camera phone and started snapping pics of the Christmas lights that were around. Then I started noticing this person, cause every street I walked, I realised his face appears...guess who... 'Andy Lau'. Wah his Cyma posters & billboards everywhere on the streets...so almost took a pic of it loh. Very bo liao hor...then just when I was wondering why I had not bumped into anyone I knew; I saw Steven with his gf...Shortly after passing a few streets, I saw Ruiqin. Sometimes, it scary when something you're thinking of just suddenly appears. Never underestimate the power of your brain...haha.

Feeling kinda disappointed cause the outing did not materialise again...this time round don't know what the reason was again...seems kinda hard to catch up once a month hor. November then and now December, both the culprit are male...jia lat...how to speak up for them. Actually also kinda expecting the outing to be cancelled cause until this morning also still no sound no picture even though the date was set one month back....Hmmm guess I'll just sit and watch..I've done what I could and it's up to the rest of the guys...

Who knows, maybe meeting up sounds more like a hassle than fun to them. Haha nobody is like you leh Senses....so free nothing better to do...come up with stupid ideas of organising outing. Hmmm maybe different mentality bah...I guess everyone's really busy.

I just came up with a quote which 'Xiao mei' found interesting and wrote it on the board haha. Here goes... 'I lOve liFe beCause Life sUxs.'

I saw a rainbow today while I was driving...wow and it wasn't after a downpour. Set me thinking when was the last time I saw a real rainbow. Am I always travelling too fast too notice the things happening around me? Or am I too slow and missing all the things around me? Too much dosage of anything is definitely not going to turn out to be something good.

A friend 'City' told me something, that he just wanted a simple life. But due to circumstances in the surrounding environment, it made it hard for him to do so. I mean I do agree somehow in certain perspective of what he said. It's how you view or term 'simple'. To some people, your 'simple' might not be something that simple to them or vice versa. Sometimes we're at a certain place & time for a reason, which we'll realise in due time. We all exist for a reason...

Yesterday, a sign of relief when I saw an sms from Ma2e that she was finally discharged...phew...But heard that she still not feeling good, with the ongoing fever and vomitting...Well let's just give her our best wishes and hope she gets well soon.

Today, unable to make it to 'Pei' ROM party due to something cropping up...but my best wishes were still sent over. :) Actually longed to see the rest of the polymates too cause haven't seen them for quite sometime but too bad maybe some other time.

Later in the evening managed to meet up with 'J', her sis and her sis's bf, went shopping for some Christmas gift which in the end, I didn't managed to get any hmmm...Had dinner at Marche, nothing special except that we had a combination of some weird food like salad, stingray, calamari and half pork knuckle followed by ice-cream crepe. Doesn't sound like lots of food right, and to think that the 4 of us can't even finish it. Serious man, we were so full that we can't finish the pork knuckle. Well, we still tried our best to stuff it all in eventually.

It was followed by a drink at 'New Asia Bar', my first visit there if the previous 'Compass Ross' is not factored in. Otherwise, it'll be my second. Well, a totally different environment since my last visit, though still a great place for scenery. There was a cover charge of $20 per person and you get a free drink in return...sounds reasonable. We were greeted by a scene of 'ang mohs' when we entered, I guess mostly guests of the hotel and had a hard time finding a table close to the edge (want to get good view mah). Finally after 5 mins of prowling, managed to get a table without chairs, prowled for another 10 mins, decided to use 'mei ren ji' haha sent the gals out to get from the 'ang moh' nearby cause they didn't seem to need the chairs. Success, we managed to get 2 chairs from them ermm cause that was the only 2 they had there. Within another 5 mins, got ourselves another 2 chairs and comfortably settled down. Stayed there for a while and had some dinks before we left for home. Saw the show of 2 merlions before reaching home...haha this time round not me leh...so happy.

I finally decided to change to a new blogskin in order to avoid having to get Jer a new computer haha...Fiddled with the new skin for a while and finally managed to get it centralised and going, many thanks to absolutjoiz who was really of great assistance to my blog. :) And to Jer, now you can leave comments liao or you have an alternative choice of the cbox too.

This week started with news from
Ma2e that she was hospitalized...what's more, the problem is unknown. Today still heard that she had a fever and vomitted so the doc might keep her under observation for a slightly longer period. Otherwise she's actually supposed to be discharged today. So poor thing... Jer also fell sick a few days ago...think it's due to the weather...better take good care of your health.

Today Multi & myself talked about something which we feel is out of place. After hearing what he said, I do feel that something isn't right somewhere too. So think better find a chance and have a good talk with 'him' liao. But maybe we are just being too over sensitive, maybe it's not what we think. Nothing is known till we talked and we must cause we're all bros.

Another news that came today is that our group won some consolation in a recent competition which we entered. Quite happy for a fact that we didn't really had much time preparing for it (however effort was still put in ;p) and yet we won something. But we were all wondering to ourselves as to how many groups entered the competition haha. Maybe there were only 5 groups and it just so happens that there were 5 prizes to be given out haha. But it's a nice feeling to actually win something. You know in life, most people need encouragement for them to move ahead and be confident of who they are.

The news that came as a surprise today was an sms from 'Pei'..She's getting married and it's this Saturday...my goodness, it's really so sudden but I feel happy for her settling down and finding her Mr Right. So meaning got to buy gifts for her liao...hmmm nevermind I think bonus coming soon, should be able to spare a bit hehe ;p. Can also catch up with the rest of the guys whom I have not seen for the past few years. Yeah....

So I guess I'm gonna come up with my Christmas wish list soon...ermmm not forgetting my birthday wish list hehe...so Jer, Ma2e & Multi...you guys knows what to do hor when the list comes out wahahaha....

Well my second trip to Wala Wala with Jer and first together with Ma2e, this time round I tried the pizza and calamari...hmmm tasted good...Thought I was full after having all those food but didn't know why my mouth started watering when I saw those chicken wings and wedges on others' table. Well maybe my second stage of puberty coming haha.

Tonight, the second time catching the UnXpected at Wala. Music was good, their gigs were great especially the remix of 'I will survive'. You should hear it for yourself...hmmm how good if I could put it on my blog, then my blog would be famous overnight like 'Xiaxue' & 'Miss Izzy' haha. I must be crazy liao think too much...anyway did you realise that until now only female bloggers got famous due to blogging. Don't think anyone hear anything about male bloggers becoming famous except for the defamation and racist few. Ok back to topic, well since everyone was working the next day except for me, we left after the second set. Tried to psycho them to take leave however attempt was futile haha. Nevermind, so now I'm home trying to fix this blogskin...man it's driving me crazy...
