Feeling so lazy...or maybe busy...been back from the Guangzhou for the past week or so but didn't have the time to pen down anything here. Guess there're lots to learn in a new job and warrants lots of time so now my working hours are basically from 9am till 8pm. Reach home already 8+pm or 9pm already. Bathe liao, sit for a while then can go to bed and sleep already...haha I guess this is what happens in a new environment. Hmmm actually my boss also not really particular, just that I find that I gotta put in more time and effort in order to catch up fast and be able to manage issues with confidence in time to come. So spend more time in office also ok lah. You reap what you sow...so hopefully in time to come; I'll be able to enjoy the fruits of my labour, haha.

Guangzhou was a pretty all right place. Couldn't get use to the traffic conditions though. It was like totally opposite from Singapore's style, for those who had been to China, you might understand what I'm saying. Anyway, it took me a while to get use to it. So I decided to start looking both ways before crossing the roads there. ;p I spent the nights alone in the room...first time I went overseas and stayed in a room on my own, the feeling was pretty good. Slept & walk nude in the room and no one cares haha. Hmmm who knows maybe they had hidden cameras and soon I'll see them selling pirated XXX DVDs with my body and a censored face...oh gosh. ;p

I was there for 5 days and work was probably just for two and a half days. The other days were spent going around looking for work related stuff but ended up at shopping malls. Shopping malls there were basically the same as Singapore ones...not much difference and you could see lots of familiar brands like Giordano, G2000, etc. So nothing much for me to buy, just bought Mp4 players for my Sis & 'J'. My Sis was damn happy with the player, so excited about it cause her last player already written off as total loss liao. Total expenses there...S$400.

One thing I must mention is that I attended this trade fair at Guangzhou; not to mention name. When you see the people attending the fair, it makes you wonder whether they're businessman or something else. They came from all different countries, but no one seem to know what a purpose of the queue is for. The queue is there for them to cut, that is why there is this thingy called 'cut queue' and it happens there like nobody's business. They can actually just remove the barriers and cut through when people have been queuing for the past 1 hour or so. My boss & I being the patient ones waited and waited and waited...soon we were at the end of the queue again...wow was there fantastic or what. We saw another foreigner who was also in the queue for a long time; he was trying very hard to prevent people from cutting his queue but soon he decided that if he can't beat them, join them...And there he goes too, disappearing into the queue too. Haha I guess there were only two left queuing up...guess who!#$%*&^. I guess it was the cultural differences or was it just us...hmmm. Anyway finally the queue eased and we managed to get in after queuing for 2 hrs or so.

Pretty huge exhibition hall they had there, tiring though walking through the exhibitions. Noticed a certain trend there...Asian looking people didn't get entertained as much as Caucasian looking people. Especially if you speak in Mandarin to them...I think they entertain you more if you speak in English. I guess maybe they thought we were competitors trying to tap on their products...so sad double standard. We managed to finish the exhibition in two days and initially my boss wanted to drop by to HongKong as there was also a fair that was ongoing, but dropped the idea after considering all the hassle.

Today, met up with Ma2e and Jer for dinner....hmmm pretty short meet up only loh...why leh? Cause our dear Jer now very committed lah haha. Makes Ma2e and myself feel so jealous and unwanted keke ;p. Anyway Jer promised she'll stay longer next time, so we shall look forward to it.

Yeah...today I become a godfather to a baby boy....yeppie..so cute and chubby...wanna see pic...take a look below. You'll love it...so cute, sticking out his lovely little tongue...so adorable. Congrats to my dear bro rabbit & his wife.

So coincidentally, another bro of mine also gave birth at the same hospital on the day. So 'accurate'...this bro one is a girl girl...but born 5 hrs earlier than my godson. Maybe can matchmake them...like the olden days...'zhi fu wei marriage' hehe. Better not anyhow 'ruan ruan lai'...later kanna bash up by the parents haha. So sweet 2 couples have a wonderful member added into their family. Wow imagine how sweet and wonderful life is with a child in it. Ermm for those who have bad experiences with kids, pls do not comment on the above sentence thanks. ;p

So now let us take a look at the baby boy & girl...Just in case you can't differentiate between the boy boy and the girl girl. The boy is not wearing a cap and the girl is wearing one. :)

My godson sticking his cute little tongue out.

The day finally came.....yes the day of my farewell dinner. They chose a nice ambience restaurant located at Liang Seah Street which I can't really recall the name. Hmmm so should I comment on the food first or on my dear buds who were there for my farewell dinner. Guess buds should come first...to me the food wasn't the issue. The main course was actually getting everyone together for one last occasion (not applicable to all) as a get together. Grateful that even though one of my bud was sick, he turned up too. Although he should have rested at home.

Most of the guys & gals who could make it came and I was really touched when I received my first farewell gift from my buds...but I was told not to open it first and only to open it when I'm home. First thing I'm home; immediately open the gift. So sweet, I must say they really very thoughtful loh...got me a nice card holder leh. Inside it's a card which has their signatures and a quote on it, I guess they must have spent some time choosing the cards from rabbit's deck haha. Meaningful leh...It goes like this

'You cannot acquire experience by making experiments.
You cannot create experience. You must undergo it.'

Albert Camus.

Then still got the nice nice board with the whole office's best wishes on it...wah lau eh, I tell you it's a fantastic piece of art work loh. My xiaomei and the rest muz have put in a lot of effort in the making of the board...so sweet and so touched. That's not the end...I also got a nice fountain pen from the whole office. No words could express my feelings today.

In fact there was a moment when I was giving my farewell appreciation short speech when I felt my face twitching and losing control...well usually something follows thereafter, but luckily the board was so funny and looking at it brought back smiles again. Appreciation words could never end if I were to carry on, just wanna say thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Wanna know how the farewell gifts looks like. Well pic says a thousand words. Certain faces have been censored to protect the identity of the persons...haha.

Seems like another week has past just like that...and I've not been doing anything meaningful for the week. No swimming this week cause of the rainy season. So just rot at home, watching the School Superstars and blah blah blah.

Went to catch a movies over the weekend and didn't thought I would actually watch this kinda show... Ice Age 2. So you know the state of rot I'm in now haha. But turns out the movie was quite nice...with the same extraordinary Scrat going after the same old nut in Ice Age 2...funny though.

Well as expected the cinema was filled with mostly kids, but I believed some of the jokes were too 'cheem' for the kids to understand so most parts you'll heard the adults laughing. And the guys sitting beside me was really laughing like a kid throughout the whole show....felt like stuffing my popcorn into his mouth...geez so bad. Well didn't do so in the end cause I was laughing away too. Overall nice cartoon lah...kept me entertained though it didn't reduce the stage of my rotting.
