Tiring day...just reached home from the Poly outing. Whoa...finally Dyanne started off with planning the first outing as per schedule on the timetable...Very nice of her to put in the effort to organise the outing despite her hectic workload. I went over after a function at CCK ended and even though I'm supposed to arrive late, I reach Marina at 2005hrs. But the new structure of Marina made me blur...together with another blur sotong, we spent 15 minutes trying to locate where Swensons was lol. Finally met up with Jer & Chris and had a simple dinner at Swensons and thereafter proceeded to a crowded Balaclava. Not all the guys turn up again...Today's attendance included Jarene, Dyanne, Chris, Teckwei(Drunkard) and myself...haha let's see who were the culprits who didn't make it again.

Susanna
Arrived at Balaclava, said Hi to all and told us that Jeremy was waiting for her at the taxi stand and that she was unable to join us today and with that she said bye and left. Whoa...I was stunned momentarily, unable to make out what I've just heard from her. That was a really big Boeing 747 that she put. But she promised she'll be there at the next outing.

Jean
Well she went over to US to look for her bf and did inform the organiser in advance that she was unable to attend the outing in September. So understandable lah...bf impt mah must spend more time together..keke ;p

One very interesting thing to note tonight is that Teckwei came late and drunk today after his company function ended. He was still sober enough to tell us that he drank 15 cans of beer...my goodness you just have to give me 2 cans and I'll be on my way to heaven haha and to think he could still make his way there after stoning down 15 cans. But nothing much to expect from him thereafter as he totally KO at Balaclava...slept there all the way till we left lol... Imagine with the live band and all the noises from the crowd, he could still sleep so soundly, no wonder Susanna called him a drunkard lol. We even took the chance to take some very stupid photos of Teckwei sleeping, photos are with Dyanne so most probably I guess she'll be putting it up in her blog soon.. ;p

The atmosphere at Balaclava was quite all right. I seem to grow fonder of live band nowadays. I was just telling them how I felt we're aging cause we seem to start loving live bands and old rock music. We could actually recall listening to one of the songs sang by the band(couldn't recall the name of the band, Jer should know it) 'Don't look back in anger' by Oasis sometime when we were in Secondary school...see how time flies haiz. Did I mention that the girls there look pretty cool...Go and have a look yourself. ;p

Is September a very good month for weddings??? I've received 4 red 'letters' this month...haiz wah lau eh burn one hole in my pocket liao haha. Like that already eat into 1/4 of my pay liao. But it's wonderful to see people tying their knots, settling down and starting their own families. It makes you start wondering when it'll be your turn....haha.

One of those red 'letters' I've received is from my brother. He's considered to be one of the first in the 'band of brothers' to settle down. So surprised hor, all of them was expecting me to be the first haha...too bad they were disappointed. But it's nice to see all brothers attending and offering help all the occasion. Although it was a busy day for them, but they were at all smiles when the event ended.

Heard so much from those who got married, things like must plan early lah, plan in advance so that things won't be so much of a rush. Then the aunties would say 'Time to get married and settle down lah, you're not young anymore'...aiyoh headache ah...haha.

There's this joke that goes:
Wedding dinners are always places where aunties say the same old thing when they see you.
'Boy ah, when will it be your turn?'
But the aunties soon stop saying that when I started saying the same thing back to them whenever we attended........

'Funeral Wakes'......hehe

Just a joke to brighten up your day. ;p

You are 31.75% jealous!
For this test, the average jealousy percentage is 35.54%.
380671 people have taken this test to date.

This percentage means that :
•You are not a jealous person, but sometimes can be.
•Occasionally, you over-react to situations.
•Most of the time, you trust the people around.
•Jealously will not be a major issue in relationships, but you might want to improve your self-esteem.

Think I'm still considered normal hor...my jealousy percentage is a bit lower then the normal average so should be ok. Got this from Jer's blog. Check it out yourself...how jealous do u get

Everyday, we're awaken with another chance at Life.
Sometimes we forget how lucky we are and we often fail
to appreciate the little things around us that mean so much.

This is actually a poem which was sent to me quite sometime back and I've been saving it in my hard drive, happened to come across it and decided to post it as I found it meaningful. So here goes...

Too often we don't realise what we have until it's gone;
Too often we wait too late to say "I'm sorry - I was wrong."
Sometimes it seems we hurt the ones we hold dearest to our hearts;
And we allow foolish things to tear our lives apart.

Far too many times we let unimportant things into our minds;
And then it's usually too late to see what made us blind.

So be sure to let people know how much they mean to you;
Take that time to say the words before your time is through.

Be sure that you appreciate everything you've got
And be thankful for the little things in life that mean a lot.

The End.

So guys & gals, ladies and gentlemen do remember to cherish what you have now. Do not live to regret what you've not done (or done). There's this saying "Live life as if it's the last day of your life and you'll learn to treasure things dear to you(or maybe I should say 'look at things from a different perspective')."

Well individuals have differing opinions, so maybe you should ask yourself; what have you missed out in your ever busy life? Have you forgotten someone dear to you? Take some time off your busy schedule to take a look around on who you've been neglecting. Should we be spending more quality time with our close ones? Think about it...

Ok.. got tagged and pressure was applied by Jer to divulge 3 facts abt myself tat some of u might not know abt, n then tag 5 others for their 'secrets', hmmm. To start with I think my friends know every nuts about me, so I really don't know what you guys are missing out on...anyway I'll try my best to recall something you guys do not know k.

fact un
I'm a notes collector, in other words I collect money. I just started this hobby around a year back. Been expanding my collection but still can't seem to fill up one book. Notes are real costly anyway. However through the collection of notes, I made new friends and acquire new knowledge on notes and it's always the learning process that is the most valuable thing. But lessons learnt in notes collection can be quite costly at times. Just one of the latest note I've acquired to my collection to share.

fact deux
I'm actually a very serious person. Ya now quite a few might be scratching their heads and asking themselves...hmmm is he? haha. Well, people always see me as a happy go lucky and fun loving person but those who really spent quality time with me would know that I'm actually a rather serious person when it comes to serious stuff. Maybe should call my gf and ask haha. Of cuz I love to joke and fool around occasionally with my friends cause I love to see all those who are close to me happy. However, this is not very applicable at work. When someone sees you as a playful chap at work, you can forget about being entrusted with duties which they deem that only a serious person can be entrusted. Just a word of advise 'Never judge a book by its cover'. Learn to understand everyone around you in depth and not just by what you see on the surface.

fact trios
I'm a singer-wannabe also haha just like Jer, love singing since young.. joined the band in pri sch and even went for a few competitions among concert bands. I still remember as having to put on lipsticks whenever we went for competitions haha...Those were the days. Hmmm really love KTV sessions with kakis, like Jer, Dyanne, Roy, Potato...though not as much KTV-ing as before. Maybe no one knows this, I ever attempt to write a song, however it didn't turn out right cause I'm only ok at filling lyrics and no talent for creating the rhythm as I do not have any piano or guitar background. Although I tried hard and bought myself an organ, I still find it hard to master anything on my own. Think I should start planning to go for piano lesson. Ask my dad to teach me guitar but was given excuses like "I forgot already lah, so long ago liao" haha. Hey maybe I should go sign up for Lee Wei Song's music school like Jer did haha. Then I can practise my head voice, chest voice, ma dian...haha.

So that's all folks...I hope it didn't bore you guys that much... ok, so I'm supposed to tag another 5 and where in the hack am I supposed to find 5 others...kuku...My list only got 2 links and 1 belonged to the person who tagged me so who am I suppose to tag. I'm going to get all my friends to start their blogs...

Well who cares haha so the next 5 to be tagged:
Multi-service provider
Cinderella
LifeConcept
Buggie
Jer (Can I tag you back to tell me 3 more facts keke)

William won... I really don't know whether it's fair for us to judge who is better. By looking at the performance and overall results today, we can clearly see that this 绝对Superstar is definitely not a programme which judges a person only by his/her singing capabilities. Fans are a very important factor and how your fans come about is also another question. I can only say that 'Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder'...haizzz Well, in the end it's still entertainment.

My mom commented on something funny which I found to be quite true after analysing. She said that William won because most aunties & uncles would support him, while supporters for Pan Jia Li would only be of the younger age range. So by comparing the salary scale of younger age and uncle & aunties; of course uncle and aunties richer to vote more lah lol...

Anyway, both the finalist got a contract with the music company so everything ended smoothly for them. Kudos to all those who joined the competition. At least they had the courage and spirit to challenge themselves to take part in 绝对Superstar. Well although the finale wasn't that fantastic, it wasn't out of expectations also...and that marks the end of 绝对Superstar.
